Badger’s Bower Testimonials

Here are some lovely testimonials from our customers:

Had a wonderful weekend staying in the Chilterns. Walked to Coombe Hill and enjoyed the views of Chequers. Great meals at the Raj and the Shoulder of Mutton. We will be back later in the year. Thank you for everything and just loved Badger’s Bower.

Relaxing weekend, very lucky with weather – cooked over open fire 3 times. Can recommend Sunday lunch at the King’s Head, Ivinghoe. Badger’s Bower very warm and cosy.

A really idyllic weekend of cooking on the fire, ambling down to the Red Lion in Wendover for a drink and exploring the lovely walks in the area. Would recommend following the Ridgeway over to Chequers – a beautiful walk and a lovely farm shop en route! Badger’s Bower was very cosy and comfortable.

What a lovely beautiful little place this is! We enjoyed every minute of our stay. We used the BBQ several times and relaxed in the wonderful surroundings Рthe weather was perfect!! Would recommend a cycle up the Wendover Arm Canal Рvery easy but very easy on the eye too! Also, it is worth walking up to Coombe Hill Monument for great views. Thanks to David and Karen for creating such an idyllic place and for your lovely hospitality.  We WILL be back!!

We absolutely loved staying in the Tabernacle! What a beautiful mystical place. The outside feels like one is in a fairytale with so much nature, huge trees and little places to relax. The inside was AMAZING! Loved the bath! The fairy lights made evenings so romantic. Comfiest bed ever! We liked the big windows + the different touch with the stained glass one. Extremely clean and easy to keep clean. Perfect place for a couple. We enjoyed using the BBQ too! Loved Wendover Woods! We drove to Oxford for a day of exploration, which was nice and we visited Aylesbury and Wendover. Wendover is nice, quaint and The Raj does a great curry! We had a wonderful 3 days here and wished we could have stayed longer! We’ll definitely be back to the Tabernacle. And we’d also like to come in summer to Kingfisher Yurt!! David and Karen – you’ve been lovely. Thank you for a relaxing, naturey, peaceful break away from stinky London for us!

Angie – I totally loved waking up to the dawn chorus!

Also liked Trivial Pursuit – hours of fun! Ha Ha! And so warm + cosy inside.

Had a lovely and relaxing 2 nights at Badger’s Bower. Can highly recommend Lady Grey Cafe and Istanbul for some yummy food. Look out for the fresh veggie and fruit market in Wendover too on Thursdays. Go for a walk in Wendover Woods – gorgeous! And make sure you get a massage from David. All in all an amazing get away. Thank you! Also check out the Antiques Shop!

P.S. Also play Backgammon so FUN!!!

Stunning Hideaway… Full of Charm… Calm and Cosy!

Magical hidden gem in the woodlands of Wendover! We had such a lovely stay at Badger’s Bower, it has the most gorgeous amount of uniqueness. My partner and I spent days and nights in the cosy abode. David and Karen have done a fabulous job of thinking about all the possible needs you may have on your stay! The coffee in the morning was sublime with the peaceful sounds of the stream, wildlife and church bells. In the evenings we enjoyed relaxing in the bathtub looking out at the garden, enjoying the lights and music. The Bower is so close to town it was perfection – We enjoyed the pitstop in the local drinking establishments and would recommend the King and Queen and The Shoulder of Mutton (Top class Sunday Roast – Great for Vegetarians). The town is quaint and sweet – The Spanish Tapas Tres Corazones make delicious Sangria! It’s our last night tonight and we are looking forward to a night around the fire pit! Looking forward to coming back soon with friends.
