Glamping at Badger’s Bower – a handmade tabernacle, only an hour from London. Bathe in the huge tub and soak up the sounds of the countryside.
This wonderful tabernacle on the edge of an ancient forest was christened Badger’s Bower after the shady spot in which it sits, surrounded by bluebells and resident badgers. It’s a perfect hideout for couples seeking an unusual space to unwind. Glamping at its best!
Beyond the huge church doors the space is cosy and thoughtfully designed with an ornate stained glass window, lantern, a fridge to keep your drinks cool and a few supplies to get you going. The double-ended bath which takes centre-stage, promising indulgent soaks with lush views of the private woodlands.
Hop inside the hammock for a lazy hour or recline in one of the rocking chairs as something delicious cooks slowly over the firepit and then take your supper out back, where you can dine under the sun or stars. By the time the badgers poke their noses out of the burrows, you’ll likely be burrowing back down into your kingsize captain’s bed, where you’ll be lulled to sleep by the sound of the rushing stream.
